June 2025 // Cognitive Distortions
How are your π°πΌπ΄π»πΆππΆππ² π±πΆπππΌπΏππΆπΌπ»π holding you back?
Cognitive distortions are automatic, often irrational thought patterns that distort how we perceive ourselves, others, and situations. They fuel self-doubt, anxiety, and poor decisions, and most of the time, we donβt even realise weβre doing it.
Common examples:
Mental Filter: βI got great feedback, but all I can think about is that one critical comment.β
Mind-Reading: βShe hasnβt replied β she must be annoyed with me.β
Catastrophising: βI made a mistake in that email. Now everyone will think Iβm useless.β
Black & White Thinking: βIf Iβm not perfect, Iβm a failure.β
At Made From Within, we help you uncover the thought patterns that limit your decisions, confidence, and progress, and enable you to challenge them.
